Dr. Appt.

My dr. appt. yesterday was uneventful! I was alittle disappointed because I was supposed to have an ultrasound done but my insurance requires an exam 1st. So, I go back on Monday for an ultrasound. We should be able to see the heartbeat and I really need that right now. Please pray that everything goes well on Monday. I will post pictures of something too...not sure what yet.

When it rains, it pours...

Blessings, that is!

For the past 3 months, John and I have been in prayer constantly over our lives and the direction they are going. It is almost scary how things have worked out and what will be taking place. I will not divulge ALL the detail, just the highlights.
In Jan. we sold our pool business and John began looking for a job. A few weeks ago, we found out he would be starting his new job on March 10th . It is 1 1/2 hours from here, so to keep John from driving that far every day, we decided to put our house up for sale. It was on the market for two weeks and we had a offer, blah, blah, blah, we sign on March 10th! Wow, I know!

Drum roll please...We are having a baby! I am 6 weeks and due October 20th. We are thrilled. I have had such an emptiness for the past few months and after much discussion and prayer we felt ready to try. It didn't take long. So, either I am super fertile or God knows we need to add to our family. We told our family on Thursday and everyone's reaction has been so great. You might think, why wouldn't it be, but I was skeptical myself before we started trying. Has it been long enough...Is everything going to be ok this time...Are we ready...and the list goes on.
So many emotions, but I am going to have faith in the Lord and His plan for us. If you are still reading this, and didn't know about any of the above, please don't be upset. We didn't tell hardly anyone about the first two until recently, only when it came up. Nothing personal, actually, it is personal, we just want to make sure everything is going to happen before we start giving the good news.
I feel great other than being extremely exhausted. Bring it on! Please pray for us that we will continue to have these blessing from the ONE AND ONLY!
(sorry no pics...couldn't think of anything creative)

A Kayden moment that we had today.
We were on my bed talking about the baby in mommy's belly and I try to explain that it will kind of be like when Janey was in my belly. This is how the conversation went...
Kayden: Is Janey in your belly?
Mommy: No baby, she is in heaven with God, remember?
Kayden: Where is she?
Mommy: There is another baby in mommy's belly, and Janey is in Heaven.
Kayden: I want Janey to come to my house.
Mommy: She can't. She has to stay in heaven with God or he will be sad.
Kayden: And he will cry?
Mommy: Yes, probably. But baby "?" will be here in a while. (I think the baby is a boy, so I refer to the name I like, but I will tell later)
Kayden: Baby "?" is coming to my house?
Mommy: Yes, but not for a long time.
Kayden: And I can play with him when he gets big like me?
Mommy: yes.

Oh, how she amazes me!

These shoes are made for walkin'...

For the past 10 months I have had the worst helpless feeling in the world, in my entire life. When we found out that Janey would not live, there was nothing I could do but leave it in God's hands. If you are a planner like me, you know how hard it was for me to just sit by and watch the days go by. Although I will never "shake" that feeling, I have found something I can be involved in to maybe prevent just one mother, if that is all it is, from going through what I went through. My new love is the March of Dimes...
March of Dimes is an organization dedicated to improving the health of babies. If you aren't familiar with them, please check out their website, March of Dimes. I didn't know about this group until we found out about Janey. Since then, I have been on their website 100 times at least. Every year they sponsor a walk called March for Babies (previously, WalkAmerica). These walks are all over the U.S. The walk for my city is April 19th. I am on a team with other women to raise money for this group. The money raised will go towards research to help babies with birth defects and to learn more about premature birth and infant mortality.
As team leader I have made a goal for my self and team to raise money. We will walk on the 19th, and I of course will be walking in honor of my daughter Janey.

I am not asking for a donation (don't get me wrong, if you want to donate, here is my march for babies webpage - ). I am just asking for your support. If you don't know about March of Dimes, please check out this website. There is a lot of information you may not know. These things may not affect you now, but they might one day. Get involved if you can. Find out where your walk is and help us out. Pass the information along. You may know someone who could benefit from this wonderful cause.

Thank you for always being so supportive of our family. We are so very grateful and blessed.

12 years old or 2 years old???????

I haven't posted about Kayden lately, so I thought I would write about a few of my favorite things and not so pleasant things...

She has such an imagination...she plays so well with her dolls and by herself.

She talks all the time...seriously, she never stops unless she is sleeping. At night, we will hear her in her bed talking to herself and the babies.

She likes to discipline her babies. We have actually had to get on her because she was being mean to them. She is a good "mama" though.
If I am sick or upset, she will hug me and tell me "you alright, mama!"
She is doing so good at talking on the phone. She will carry on a conversation for a few minutes. She likes to pretend talk on the phone too. She will recite a conversation I have had on the phone with someone earlier.

She has a great memory. Sometimes I will lay in bed with her at night and she will just stare up at the ceiling and talk about what happened that day or even days ago.

We got out my old barbies and she makes my Dad play with her at my parents house. It is so funny.

Kayden can't stand for her clothes, hands, shoes to be dirty. If she spills milk or gets water on her clothes, they are "dirty" and she will go get other clothes on. Only after I try to convince her it will dry. She will cry and you would think she broke something the way she carries on. Which brings me to the unpleasant thing.
On more than a few occasions Kayden has come in our room in the morning with play clothes on ready to change. Ok, the child is ready to get up, no big deal, right?! IT WILL BE 6:00 AM!!! We had to explain to her that it is still dark, and we don't get up and change until it is not dark outside.
She will not wear jeans or khaki pants, only cotton ones. I am not lying. She will have a meltdown before she will put them on. I am not sure why, they might make her itch (she has really bad dry skin). She only wants to wear her pink crocs. Sundays, are the worst by far. She wants to wear play clothes to church. She will beg to take her dress off. You would think she is just not a girly girl...wrong! She loves to wear her dress up shoes, carry her purse and parade around like she is going shopping.
One of my favorites is when she wants to tell me something and she will put her hands up around her mouth and whisper.
Other than the clothing thing, she is so pleasant and sweet. We just are so impressed with her everyday. If you heard her talk, you would think she was older than 2. I will try to put up a video of her sometime soon.
The other day we were going to the basketball game to watch my cousin play and I mentioned that I needed to change my shirt because of that "smelly old gym". Only to which she replied, "that stinky old granddaddy!" (Jim is my dad's name.) Yes, she knows all our names too! It made my dad's day that she knew that about him.
When we are at chick fil a she will not use the potty because they flush automatically. It scares her and she will cling to me and not let go. Today we were at the other chick fil a and I triedto convince her that this one doesn't do that, and I would flush it. NOPE! She didn't care, she told me she "I hold it till we go home!"

Ok, I guess that is all for now.

5 Random Things You Probably Didn't Know

I've been tagged by Shauri (sorry it took so long).

The Rules:

Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog. Share 5 random and/or weird facts about yourself on your blog or Share the 5 top places on your “want to see or want to see again” list or Share 5 things you never pictured being in your future when you were 25 years old. Tag a minimum of 5, maximum of 10 random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs. Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog. The tagees have a choice of which they want to do.

In "random" order:

1. I HATE any type of "seafood" from a fast food rest. For example, Captain D's, Long John Silvers, and Fish sand. from McD's. (in fact, I think I just threw up in my mouth thinking about it!)

2. Before I take a bath, I always take a shower. I don't use bath time to bathe, just relaxation purposes only.

3. While we are on baths...I always clean the tube before I get a bath. Not the entire unit, just the tube part. I know, I know, OCD!

4. I was voted most likely to succeed in High School.

5. I can't watch most of the TV reality shows. They stress me out. Survivor I can so some seasons. If it is real competitive and nasty, it makes me nervous. Big Brother is just adults acting like thy are in middle school, the
Amazing Race is way too much pressure, and American Idol makes me have anxiety.

I tag Laurie (b/c you need a new post as much as I did), Audrey, Nikki, Angela and Patience.
