Catching up, Part 2...The Beach

Last Sunday, my Momma, Granny, Kayden and I loaded up the car and headed to Panama City Beach. My Aunt Cindy came down on Monday and met us. I was really in need of some R&R and wanted to get away for a while. We all had a great time. I love my family and love spending so much time with them. Kayden was wonderful. I was able to spend some time by myself because I have the greatest babysitters EVER! We did a lot of laying out, a LOT of eating, tons of laughing and some fun shopping. Kayden woke up everyday by 6:00! So, we were out on the beach quite early. She was good for a few hours, then needed some indoor playtime. Granny stayed inside with her during her naps and I was able to just sit and read or lay out without interruption. It was wonderful. In the evenings we just sat around and ate. A few nights we played cards, which is always a fun time with my Granny. When she gets to laughing, everyone gets to laughing. We shopped some and ate out a few nights. All very good food.
Our condo was really nice and on the beach, so we didn't have to go far. I am already planning next year.
Here are a few pictures from the trip. I think I took 100, so this is just a drop in the bucket to highlight the trip. The last night we all dressed in white and took some pictures on the beach. They are not professional, but there were some really good ones I thought. HOpe you enjoy the pictures.

Catching up Part 1

I have a lot to catch up on so it will be in two posts. My sister was here a few weeks ago. We had a blast! We did a lot of laying out and talking. Oh and a few sonic trips. Before she left we went to Wild Adventures Theme and Water park. It is a lot of fun and we made two days of it. We spent Sat. afternoon watching Kayden ride the rides and then we went to the waterpark for a little while. It was packed, so we didn't stay too long. Kayden loves the water. She had so much fun and we had just as much fun watching her play. After we ate dinner, JOhn and Kayden headed home and Terri, my parents and I stuck around for the Lonestar concert. They were really good and we just sat around and enjoyed it. Terri has more pictures on her blog, so check them out too.

We had pictures made for Father's Day and I will have to post them later too. I have soooo much catching up to do it is ridiculous. I am only going to hit the highlights because I would be here forever otherwise. Terri left on Sunday to go home and we were sad to see her go. We always have so much fun with her. We wish she lived closer, but someone has to work! Thanks for a fun time Ter Ter.

Ok, that is enough for tonight. We just got back from the beach yesterday, so I am trying to get back into the swing of things. Part 2 will be tomorrow, so stay tuned.

Beach!!

Well I'm at the beach so I won't be able to post for a week. Kayden had her pictures taken at Portrait Innovations at the mall and Terri put them up on her site. Kayden did so good and looked so pretty. I will post pics and everything when I get back. Hope you have a good week!

What's been happenin'

Alot has been going on with us since my last post. This will be a long post, so if you aren't really interested, turn back now. My sister got into town so we have been having tons of fun with her. Lots of laying around the pool. And many trips to Sonic. It's something we did when I lived in AR. I am not sure she ever worked when I lived there.

On Tuesday, John, my Dad and John Peak went fishing on the gulf and then cooked fish for a bunch of our friends that night. The guys were really tired, but they had a good time. We had a good time with our friends at Southwind and food was great. That is where most of those pictures were taken on the slide show. We tried to take more crazy pictures, but some were really scary.

Wednesday was my ob check up. Heartrate was fine, weight was well, weight. I go back in 4 weeks and then two weeks after that for my last ultrasound and we will schedule my c-section for Sept. I am excited about getting a date on the calendar. I have been feeling ok, just normal pregnancy stuff...heartburn, swollen feet, backache, etc. As you can see in the picture, I have gotten quite a bit bigger since my last post. Janey is growing, or maybe it is just me, drinking too much sweet tea! This pregnancy is definitely kicking my butt in so many ways. I have been so much more exhausted with this preg. and I have had 3 infections so far. Treatable, but annoying. My 1st preg. was so easy and normal. It seems like Sept. will never get here.

My Kayden is no longer a baby...yesterday my sister went to get her up from her nap and she hollered to me that Kayden was out of her crib!!!! She is only 19 mo. old and has never even attempted to get out. We put her back in and told her to show us how she got out. She threw her leg up to the top of the rail and apparently flipped the other one over and slid down. I was in major shock. My little baby girl can't sleep in her crib anymore! It was very tramatizing for me. Terri thought it was hilarious because I was acting like she was going to college. So, we took the front of her crib off, so it looks like a daybed and added a bedrail at night. She can crawl up and down but won't roll off at night.

I just was not ready for that! I wanted her to stay a baby a little longer. Potty training is next, I am very sure. She is just growing up and it makes me a little sad. She will put 2-3 words together and you can really understand what she wants...or doesn't want. She loves to play in the pool. She will be like her mommy!

Ok, I guess that sums it up. Not that any of you are on pins and needles waiting for a new post, except maybe one person, but I won't mention any names...you know who you are! :) HOpe you have a good week. I will update again before we head to the beach on Sunday! I am sooooo ready to be there.

Kayden's First Haircut

Yes, my daughter is 19 mo. and just getting her first haircut. I have been saying for a while that I am not cutting it. I have been strong up until now. Kayden has the cutest hair and curls and I just want it to grow out. Her bangs are really long though and although she wears a bow a lot, she takes it out a lot and her hair falls into her eyes. We only cut the front. It is much better because it is out of her eyes, but it looks totally different to me now. She is still my little doll baby though.

Memorial Day!

I know, this post is a little late. On Memorial Day we had tons of family and friends come over for the day. We spent a lot of the day sitting around eating and talking. It was nice to just sit back and not do much. Our guest lists included: My parents, My Aunt Cindy, Uncle Mike, Ryan, Kristin, Chad, Lindsey, Shepherd, Rauly, Aaron, Brad, Patience, Reagan and Rowan. It was a lot of fun to be with everyone. Thanks to everyone who came and brought stuff and made this day so much fun. Lindsey took a lot more pictures, so check out her blog too.
Not to leave out the purpose of this day...Thank you to all our soldiers and fallen heros for making this a free country and allowing us to have all the freedoms that we do. I have been thinking alot about Micah and Adam. I hope their families know how touched we all are by their amazing selflessness. Thank you!
